My Divine Assignment: To Encourage Others

A dear friend who has gone to be with the Lord once told me I was her Barnabas which Biblically means "encourager." I never saw myself like that, but as I've grown in my walk with the Lord it seems that is my desire. I hope that what I share here will be an encouragement to you as we trust the Lord - for great is His Faithfulness.

My Divine Assignment: To Encourage Others.
In Christ's Love, Shelley

KEEP His JOY IN TRIALS, TEARS & TRIUMPHS ~~ A WOMAN'S HEART SHOULD BE SO COMPLETELY LOST IN God THAT A MAN MUST SEEK Him TO FIND HER ~~ Our desire to learn God's Word must be greater than our need to breathe ~~

Change vs New

I don't like change much, but I do like doing new things.  I've been working on the site for over a week.  I was inspired to do it by some friends who have blogs.  I want to keep it simple yet speak to hearts.  There is much going on in our world today & though we know God is in control, our hearts grieve - especially for our children & grand-children.  Many things have come to mind these past months & I wanted to share them but also get the insights of others so this blog is a result of that.  My hope is that we can share our thoughts & concerns with each other bringing us closer to Him & to each other through prayer & encouragement.
I would love to have you join me on My Heart Seeks Him by subscribing by email on the right side bar.  May we grow & encourage one another as we seek to have a Heart like His.  In Christ's Love.

  1. I love the dandelion background. Hmm... I didn't realize that when I knew you at First Presbyterian that you were a relatively new baby Christian. No wonder you were so flaming on fire! You know that you were my inspiration-- that I saw something in you that I knew I didn't have... That and the "Thief in the Night" video series that made me realize that if the rapture happened right away: I wasn't going. I would be one of the ones who was left behind without understanding why.
You are doing a good work here and in your life. Bless you.
